Moving HOP Workflows Towards a Smarter Digital Process

How an existing digital HOP user provides a practical reference point for the development of a simpler, more connected HOP workflow.

Moving HOP Workflows Towards a Smarter Digital Process

A field-service operating scenario provides DGi Smart with a valuable real-world reference point for the development of Pro HOP SmartPack. The organisation already works with digital HOP processes, giving the product team a practical view of where existing approaches can become cumbersome and where a more focused workflow can improve the user experience.

The operational challenge

HOP documentation needs to move between office teams and field personnel while retaining the evidence required to demonstrate completion. When the process becomes fragmented or overly complex, administration increases and visibility can suffer.

The Pro HOP SmartPack approach

Pro HOP SmartPack is being developed around a connected workflow covering project creation, engineer allocation, configurable HOP packs, mandatory responses, photographic evidence, completion status and sign-off. The objective is not simply to digitise a form, but to make the complete process easier to manage.

What this validates

This validation work helps confirm the underlying problem and the need for a practical digital HOP workflow. Feedback from real operational use can inform usability, workflow design and the priorities taken forward into the DGi Smart product roadmap.

Status: This case study describes product validation and development context. It does not claim quantified performance improvements that have not yet been independently measured.
